Before the Seychelles, I had never been to a tropical Island before. When our first daughter turned six months old, we decided to take a family holiday and visit this beautiful Island. I did not know what to expect of the two weeks we were to spend there.

I did not pack a lot of clothes as I was planning on hitting the first shopping mall I saw in the Seychelles – big mistake! When we landed, it did not take long for us to find out that Island was not as commercial as we had previously thought.

There were no large shopping malls or supermarkets, just pure natural beauty, no major commercial things to distract you from enjoying nature.

Everything except the natural beauty of the Seychelles is scaled down; you do get a break from all the hustle and bustle of the modern world.

We stayed at a lovely guest house that boasts a nice view of the beautiful Beau Vallon Bay and lays only two minutes walk from the beach and a small pizzeria by the sea.
