Having clear skin is something that many of us hope to have. But while this is easy for some to achieve, for others it isn’t quite as simple. One of the problems that can cause your skin to not look quite as you want it to is acne. There are a number of ways that you can try to ease acne skin, however, if you are looking for something that is entirely natural then you may want to turn to essential oils for acne clear skin.

The Best Essential Oils for Acne Clear Skin

Acne is a skin disorder (that has nothing to do with hygiene) that causes spots to develop on your skin. It is not only going to have an impact on the self-confidence of the person suffering from it, but it also can be painful too. But where do you start? How do you know which essential oils are going to give you the results that you hope for?

There are a number of essential oils for acne clear skin that you can use to manage your acne and I’ll be sharing five of them with you:

1. Tea Tree Essential Oil

Tea tree is known to be an incredibly powerful and an all natural way to kill off bacteria and fungi. It is because of this ability that it is most commonly used for skin issues, such as frequent spots and acne. It still isn’t known whether or not tea tree kills P. acnes, or whether it is the fact that it is able to help reduce swelling and redness.

Regardless of this, the fact that it provides such great relief from acne, makes it a popular choice for many.  I personally use tea tree oil (the one from the Body Shop, you can find it here) to treat and manage my acne and have done so for over two years or more. It works, plain and simple.

2. Thyme Essential Oil

Thyme is a herb that is added to a variety of different dishes in order to boost their flavor and make them as tasty as possible. However, what you may not realize is that Thyme is also an effective tool in fighting bacteria. Seeing as bacteria is the main cause of acne, it makes sense that thyme is likely to be the helping hand that your skin needs to look its best.

3. Cinnamon Essential Oil

The most common use for cinnamon is to give a little bit of spice to baked items and winter warming drinks. However, cinnamon can do so much more than this. A tree bark that occurs naturally, cinnamon is already known to help kill staphylococcal bacteria and E. coli. However, it is also a good option for those with acne, as well as a way to reduce menstrual pain and your cholesterol too.

One fruit that is thought to have a good level of anti-inflammatory is bergamot. Bergamot offers up a citrus scent, which not only smells lovely and fresh but is also known to lift your mood too.
