1. Drink Plenty of Water

People who never gain weight drink plenty of water. Drinking plenty of water helps them with weight loss by keeping them hydrated and by causesing them to eat fewer calories.

2. They Practice IF

AKA intermittent fasting – Not all but some fit people use intermittent fasting to keep the pounds from piling on. They only eat during an eight-hour window and fast for sixteen hours, which allows their insulin levels to drop low enough for their bodies to burn off fat.

3. Avoid Sugar

People who never gain weight avoid sugary snacks and drinks. They know that sugary drinks are unhealthy.

Instead of taking the elevator, people who never gain weight take the stairs. They also stand at their desks at the office, do their own chores, walk a lot and thus have better non-exercise activity thermogenesis (NEAT) than the average person.

NEAT is the energy that everyone expends for anything we do that is not eating, sleeping or sports, e.g., walking to work, mowing the lawn, etc.

5. Eat Healthy Foods

People who never gain weight eat healthy foods like green leafy vegetables and lean meats and fewer carbs. And they don’t eat until they drop, but stop as soon as their stomachs feel full.

6. Avoid Alcohol

They avoid alcohol or consume very little of it. Alcohol (especially beer) is a great source of empty calories because it is made from sugar or starch.

7. Get Enough Sleep

They sleep for at least 8 hours because they know just how important sleep is for their overall health. And because they sleep well and are well rested, they are less likely to crave high calorie foods.

8. They Love Green Tea

They drink green tea (or other great drinks that aren’t full of calories but instead provide a great source of anti-oxidants). Green tea contains catechin which speeds up metabolism. A fast metabolism means no weight gain.

Fighting weight gain isn’t easy. But with these few sustainable lifestyle changes it is totally achievable.
